Melissa Hardman loves her job and is excited to help you find just the right home. Melissa's friendly demeanor, strong sense of professionalism, and deep knowledge of the area helps make the buying and selling process a positive, smooth experience. She specializes in assisting first-time home buyers and those interested in new construction. Melissa first moved to the Cedar Valley in 2000 as a university student and stayed to raise a family. For years, she's been committed to serving the community. Her previous career was in school counseling and social work. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's of education in counseling from the University of Northern Iowa. Melissa is actively involved in the community. She currently serves as the Partners in Ed coordinator for Oakridge and is on both the board and fundraising committee for Friends of the Family.

Counselor and Mediator

Clients often describe Melissa as easy to talk to, patient, and helpful. She responds to questions quickly and is a good mediator (that's where her background in counseling kicks in). When Melissa isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her kids, going to Okoboji, walking the trails, and getting out to enjoy the Cedar Valley.
